hello
my name is Amanda and i have 5 year old twins and one of the twins penises never grew since birth, the other one is fine but he has problems when he goes to the bathroom he usually pees all over his pants because it is so little. he was resurcumsed (sorry about the spelling), at 7 months and then in the hospital at 18 months, for problems it went inside his body and the whole pubic area was blue. we spent a week and a half in there, and we left with no reason why, plus he has no sac, it is just a little bit of skin hanging down you can barely see it, im just scared cause i have a few friends and they told me that is what they think happend to them too but there moms didnt know about it, and now they are steral they cant get there wives pregnant, please some one i need to know what to do, they told me it has to be fixed before five years of age and im just worried i didnt catch it in time, if anyone knows anything about this please give me some insight anything would be greatly apreaciated.... thanks again

Have you seen a good urologist? If not, get to one.i would think that the earlier that some sort of surgical intervention could be done the better off they would be.if you have indeed seen one already and you have not gotten any good answers to treatment options that it would be in the boys best interest to see a different one.Do you by any chance, live near a good university hospital? If you do, this is where I would go to next if possible. They are more willing to get involved in the cases that are a little different, you know what I mean?i went to our U hospital when I was Dxed with a bizarre formation inside of my spinal cord. All of the neurosurgeons that I saw before just were not giving me any good answers to my ?s.It wasn't until I saw the head of neurosurgery at our local university that I found out that I definitely needed to have a major, very invasive surgery, soon. No matter what, you need to keep on pushing this until you feel that you have covered all of your bases.Don't be intimidated by the docs.remeber, they ARE working for you.Good luck to you and i hope you can get this all resolved soon.marcia

My 10 year old son's penis doesn't look to me like it has grown any since birth either, nor does he have much of a sac (I don't want to stare but have caught glimpses and can't see anything). My son is a bit overweight and everything seems to be hidden in the fat pad. I took him to the doctor a couple of months ago and he poked around and told me it was normal. The sac is small (hasn't reached puberty yet lol) but there are definately wee testicles in there!

The doctor also told me that 9 out of 10 mothers (of boys) that come in, are worried about their son's penis. I was embarrassed but would take him again...... Speak to your doctor for peace of mind!

See a doctor about this fast and push to see a specialist. The re-circumcision episode sounds very serious and is probably a buried penis. This condition can be natural but is mainly caused by an overly agressive circumcision in the first place; yet another major complication of circumcision, which probably wouldn't have happened if he lived in any other country.

It sounds like your boy has this condition becaue of his urination problems. I suspect that because this is probably a complication of circumcision is the reason you were not given a diagnosed cause. The undescended testes may be part of this or runelated but need to be checked.

My son is 3 and is very small almost not visable looks like a button and my younger son 1 1/2 is twice that. I have a really small one myself so I figure he took after me until we noticed the younger one. Everyone is different and his dr said he was normal so I know they are twins but maybe he's just smaller but worth the trip to ask a dr.
