this is embarassing but I recently went to the doctors and told her I had lower abdominal pain and bloat. I forgot to say I was also gassy but later realized I should have. While there a urine test was taken and the doctor said I had a bladder infection. I have taken it for five days but I still have the gas and pain. I may have a bladder infection but something else is wrong. Does this sound like irritable bowel syndrome? I have always been regular but for about a week my bowel movements seem different.Any thing you can tell me will be appreciated. I am going to call the doctor Tuesday. Thanks.

While it may have helped if you had told your Dr. that you have been gassy, it may not be a big deal. Gasiness usually is accompanied by bloating. As for your bowels being out of wack just for a short time, it may not be IBS. If it continues longer it could be a possibility. Being that you have been bloated & having abdominal pain & gas, sounds to me like a virus, constipation or other type of stomach ailment. Good Luck!
