AST 10-34. is normal
Total Bilirubin 0.0-1.0 is normal
Albumin 3.2-4.6 is normal
Alkaline Phosphatase 22.0- 65.0 is normal.
Indirect Bilirubin .0-1.0
Direct Bilirubin 0.0-.3
Protein 6.4-8.2 is normal
White Blood Count (WBC) 4.6-10.2 normal range
Platelets 142. 144. normal range
These all can temporarily be affected by outside circumstances...... they still may bounce back!! Talk to your doctor if they seem really out of wack!

some labs will say that a 1.5 is still a good billirubin count

I heard a few weeks ago that women and men have different ranges on ALT -- Women should be within the 0 - 40 range -- men between 2 - 60.
Has anyone heard any confirmation on this?? I know that some labs have different ranges, but different ranges for men and women?

i am sure these numbers are not based on sex, but a general range encompassing all numbers, they may be more sensitively rated by sex...
my alts are 500
ast 273
alk phos is 350
when my numbers are normal they are happy with numbers under 60 on the alt and ast
and under 150 for alk phos....

Hello all:
I have had elevated liver enzymes from my last blood Test. One was like high 50's and one was like 150's. I have had a million blood tests the last year and my lever enzymes were normal on all. Reason for the blood tests was they were searching for an undiagnosed conditoon which turned out to be a Vestibular Disorder and they check the medications in the blood. In May 05 my enzymes were in the 20's and normal. then started taking lipitor for my cholesterol. In June 05 they went up a little in the 30's. In July they went to these numbers of 50's and 150's. Not sure which is SGPT or SGOT. I went off the lipitor in July and they are still high as of Aug 24th. Gastro wants me to go for an ultrasound to ensure that gallstones are not being masked by the lipitor. He said in some cases it can take several months to go back to normal. Wants to make sure its the lipitor
Should I be worried or is this just the lipitor and its taking longer in my case.

those are tough questions. i think they are best left to an ultrasound which is simple and non invasive and a really smart doc..... dont change your regimin without the docs ok!

actually this is not exactly true.it varies from lab to lab.my alt was 51(with 2-45 being normal at the lab that tested me.and i have read that indeed males and females are different.
