My son has just been diagnosed with CRMO but we were told it was bone inflamation. Is that the case? Does it cause extreme fatigue? Does it affect you immune system? Is it related somehow to IBS and psoraisis? We are members of Kaiser and they know little or nothing about this disorder they say there is no research. Is it related to lupus? I ask about these other disorders as they are in the family.
Since his diagnosis he spent 2 days in the hospital on IV anti biotics, came home on 1800 mgs of anti biotics and was taken off of them 4 days later as his blood work was nornal. I have done some research on my own and found out about the Motrin idea. With my son's touchy stomach and IBS I have to be very careful. He is really struggling in school and even being able to attend all day every day. Has anyone else ever had these kinds of issues with this illness?? I am desperate for information because his teachers are having a problem with grading him because of his inability to do the assignments etc.

Hi Nancy,

I have been diagonsed with Sapho which CRMO is a subclass of it.

I have had pamidronate infusions which has helped me to a point. I know of others who have had complete remisison after 2-4 infusions.

There is yahoo group for Sapho and CRMO.

Ali
