Hello
I recently was seen by a dermatological physician's assistant. I have be dealing with my eyelashes and eyebrows falling out for over a year now. I am currently being treated for uneractive thyroid. I know the hair loss is a symptom, but my doctor tells me that my thyroid is fine and not the cause of the hair loss. That was the reason for my visit to the dermatologist. Anyway withing about 2 - 3 minutes she diagnosed me with a form of alopecia (I forgot exactly what she said. She spoke VERY fast). Anyway, she gave me some samples of Elidel to use and said to come back in two months. When I got home, I looked for info online and found that Elidel is used to treat eczema. I could not find anywhere that is said that this medicine is ever used to treat alopecia. Has anyone ever heard of this medicine being used for anything other than eczema?

I think you need to go back to the doctor. I have eczema and use Elidel. It is definaty and eczema cream and it shouldn't be used for anything else. Have you seen results?
