My best friend in the world is leaving, moving to another state where he'll be for college - i'm heartbroken... i can't get past it. I feel so scared becuz i feel that without him i'll be alone - he's as close to family as i have - i'm not close with my own family members and i don't spend time with my other friends when we're out of school (which we are now) - it's always been me and him. I feel so alone and scared - i don't want to go away to college anymore -i don't know what i want. I just feel desperate and am using the board as a venting ground so i'm sorry if this is a bit OT - but it's not becuz he's also the one who knows about my ED... :( Now what? I don't want to be alone :( I'm so heartbroken.

Hi im sorry to hear that but dont give up. I'm wondering if maybe before your friend leaves could he prehaps support you to go see your Dr to find out about getting some councelling so you have some additonal support when hes away. Maybe nows the time for you to seek outside help if you havent already. And plus keep posting on here as theres lots of people who understand your situation who can try and support you.
