I just found out I am having a partial nephrectomy on June 23-I have a cyst on my rt kidney as well as a small mass. After 2 CT scans (with and without contrast) and an MRI, the urologist has decided to do a laprascopic partial nephrectomy. What can anyone tell me about this? I know I'll be in the hospital 2-3 days. I don't know if the mass is cancerous or not-I guess they will find out when they look at it. I've had laprascopic gall bladder surgery, but I was home the same day for that-I guess this is more extensive. Any info would really be appreciated. Thanks. MJ
