Hello,
I was hoping someone here might be able to help me. Over the past several months, I have been having a case of the chills that tend to wax and wane throughout the day. I have taken my temperature at various times and I never seem to have a fever. Has anyone heard of this? Thanks in advnace for your help!
Sincerely,
Jennifer

Yes this just recently was happening to me and it turned out I had a urinary tract infection. I had no other symptoms but a urine test found blood and bacteria. I still thought my dr was crazy but after a few days of antibiotics my chills were gone!!!

Hi tyboyz,
Thanks so much for responding. Wow, you didn't have any other signs of a UTI? What clued your Doctor in to perform a urine analysis?
Thanks again,
Jennifer

Have you been checked for Anemia? I get chills with that.

I get that! Was getting it really bad in January!! It was nothing. I am 46 and saw somewhere that some people get "reverse" hot flashes - I figured that was it - if you are over 45 that could be it for you too. But I used to get them in my 20's, so obviously that wasn't the case then! Sometimes the body thermostat goes out - could even by thyroid (I never was checked so I don't know for sure)

Kerry1: Thanks for your reply. I was checked for anemia, but everything was normal. Thanks for the tip though!
Sunlover: Thanks for sharing! I had a TSH done several months ago and that too was normal.
Humm, I guess I'll keep looking into it.
Take care,
Jennifer

Hey Hollywood,
I have been experiencing this as well.. The other night I was convinced I had a temp bur when I took it, it read 97.5 which seemed really low. I know it isnt my thyroid because I just got tested for it so I am at a loss as well..
keep me posted on anything you find out. :)
