Hey people, for years I've had a rash looking area on the tricep area of each arm, the back area of each and can't remember not having this. It's a mostly red patchy area with many little spots and most with a hard little 'white head' point.
I'd just like to know what caused this and how I could get rid of it?
It doesn't bother me in anyway but only after about 20 minutes rubbing 'Dove Soap' area of area all little heads seem to have gone and I'm left with a much smoother area. Sadly things always seem to go back to normal ..
Any ideas people?

I have never had this problem until a few years ago. I don't know if it is something with age or what. (I'm 38.) Anyway, all I do is every few days while taking a shower I scrub it with a loofah along with using a body scrub. It makes it as smooth as a baby's butt :) Currently I am using a mineral mud body scrub by Archipelago Botanicals but I've also used salt scrubs that work just as well.

you might have keratosis pilaris--I have it also and sorry to say but you can't get rid of it, but you can make it less noticable. Neutrogena just came out with a lotion called "Skin Smoothing Body Lotion" which acctually says on the bottle it is for the red bumps on the back of arms and on legs. I also use dove Nutrium body wash. I do still have some spots, but I just started about a week ago with the Neutrogena lotion and it seems to be helping.
So I would suggest trying it and I hope you have good luck with it!! :)
