I went in for a CT scan yesterday and they put an IV needle in my arm in case they needed to inject some contrast. Well, they didn't and after they took out the needle, I noticed when I got back to work that I had a bump under my skin where the needle was. Is this normal? The area is black and blue now.

Thanks

You should be fine. It sounds like just some leakage of blood from the vein after they took the needle out. It should get better within the next few days.
