Hi, I, too am interested in local rather than general for lower facelift, due to asthma. I'm on another message board as well, and there are many on there that say that's exactly how they had it done. Some say they felt occasional tugging, but no discomfort. Others say they slept through the whole thing..."twilight" anesthesia. I haven't had any consultations yet, but I did submit that very question to a cosmetic surgeon on the web. He replied that it can usually be done under local, if the patient desires. Good luck.
