View Full Version : Bloating! need advice

I've never had any serious digestive problems, but I'm starting to get a little concerned about this.

I've always had a really flat stomach, and I still do... but over the past few months I've noticed that it is way bigger than usual. I thought it was just fatter now that I'm getting older, but I've come to realize that it must be bloated instead. I don't have any flab on it whatsover, but it definitely sticks out, making me look like I'm pregnant. (the usual bloating complaint!)

However, I have absolutely no other problems besides the physical look of my belly... no gas, no bathroom problems.. everything's completely normal, it's just that my stomach is bigger and doesn't look as nice in my clothes.

I saw a drug called "Probiotica" mentioned on this forum... it supposedly helps bloating and you can buy it at Walmart. Is this something that might help me? Remember, I have NO problems besides the gross "pregnant look"!

Also, is there a certain diet I should be trying? As it is, I've been cutting almost all sweets and very salty things out. Haven't eaten much carbs either.

I just want my nice, flat stomach back!

p.s.- hope I don't have a tumor or something :dizzy:

Hi!

I was having the same problem. I was recommended to take ginger or drink ginger tea. I drink ginger tea, and it seems to help with bloating. You can try that. I'm sure there are ginger supplements you can take, but I've never tried those, so I don't know if they work. BTW, I drink Alvita's Ginger/Peppermint Tea. It's pretty good!!! I just drink it whenever I'm feeling (and looking) bloated.

Sometimes I find eating VERY slow helps some... I would like to see what other's say about this.

God Bless,

Thanks guys! About the ginger tea, is ginger known to help with bloating? I've never heard of that. Today my bloating is actually a lot better... over the past 2 days I've been drinking mostly water and eating a lot healthier. I would welcome others advice as well :)

Have you run this past a gynecologist?

Nope, I was thinking I might need to, but luckily the bloating has gone away over the past few days. However, whenever I go to the gyno, I'm always checked for growths in that area and haven't had any.

I got some advice from a lady who runs her own website. She's into holisitic and ayurvedic medicine/lifestyle. I asked her about the bloating, and she recommended the ginger/ginger tea. I took her advice, and it worked for me!!
