For about two weeks now I've had mild discomfort on my right side ranging anywhere from just under ribcage to hip bone. It travels and is more annoying than painful. I also have what appears to be slight abdomen swelling. The discomfort also radiates at times to my back. I don't have any other symptoms to go with it, but I can't lay on my right side at night because it is tender, so I know someting is up. Plus it doesn't seem to be going away. Does anyone have a clue what it might be? I would go to the doctor but I can't take time off from a new job. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Bibi,

Sounds like you are having some gallbladder pain. When I get an attack my pain is exactly where you are describing, right under the ribcage around to my back. Ask your doc for an abdominal ultrasound. This will look at your liver, pancreas and gallbladder and will be able to tell if you have stones or not. It will also be able to tell if any of your other organs are inflammed or not. I had this test done twice and it is a breeze and you get the results the same day.. good luck and keep us posted. :)

I second the motion! See a doctor asap. It's not an emergency, but you don't want to let it go too long. Good luck.
