Hi - my Finance' of 5'10', 300lbs has been on warfarin for about 5 years. Has pro-times/INR tests quite frequently. He has a blood clot in his leg and has had it for the 5 years.
MY QUESTION: Just out of the blue, he will get these episodes of extreme pain in his leg, the pain buckles this big guy over. The pain will sometimes travel up thru his hips into his back. Its not a "charlie horse" or a 'cramp' its much deeper and more painful than that. The episode usually lasts about 10 or 15 minutes and then that leg is extremely sore thru the next day. Is this DVT? Deep Vein Thrombosis? Does anyone else out there experience this type of problem? He has mentioned it to his doctor and he just looks at him like he's nuts!!! Lately since we have been doing a lot of landscaping, digging etc, they are much more frequent! HELP :bouncing:
