This could possibly be a number of things, but have you been checked for Thyroid Disease? Your thyroid gland is in your throat and if it starts producing either too much or not enough hormones then it can cause a goiter (swelling of the gland), which can feel like you have a hard time swollowing and can get a tightening or aching feeling.

Do a search online for Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism. Check out the other symptoms on these to see if you may be a likely candidate. If so, I suggest getting it checked out, it can turn serious if you don't get on medication to balance out your hormones. And Thyroid Disease is much more common than people may think. A large percentage of people have it without even knowing it.

Good luck,
- Blaze
