Regular Guy,
I buy mine from Puritan's Pride.
The brand I buy is called 'Super Omega-3'. It comes in a 1000mg capsule, each containing 300mg EPA and 200mg DHA. I take 2/day... It costs $14.50 for 90 capsules. I wait until they have their 3-for-1 sale.
Another highly touted brand is ResQ-1250. It is a pharmaceutical grade of fish oil (very high in EPA and DHA - the critical ingredients you want to maximize) - but this brand is expensive.
You should aim for at least 1000 mg of EPA + DHA daily to realize a benefit.
Omega-3 Fish Oil helps raise HDL (as does Niacin), and helps reduce inflammation.

I think the best deal is the 12 ounce Twinlab Norwegian Cod Live Oil. It goes for about $6.50 and has 72 serings of 5 ml (1 tsp.) providing 554 mg. EPA and 369 mg. DHA.
You won't find anything cheaper and I think the unflavored is delicious.
