View Full Version : My mouth is driving me crazy

I am new to this board, but I have lots of the symptoms I read about, been tested, but no dx, but one of the first things that bothered me was the inside of my mouth feeling like it was burning and squishy and gum swollen. This has been going on for two years and at first it was on the right and now both sides. A little saliva forms in the corner of my mouth sometimes. Also, I have recently noticed just something different in my chest when I breath. Not all the time, but off and on. I read people with ALS have excessive saliva, but is that when they can't swallow or talk, or can this come on first? I have had the muscle twitching, rolling, cramping, feeling lousy some days more than others, but should I be re-tested or just sit on it awhile?

My mother is going through the same thing. She's had these symptoms for five years, been to all kinds of docs, no dx. Please let me know if you find out anything so I can head her in some kind of direction. It's driving her nuts.
