Hi, I am in need of some major help. For the last month i have had frequent urnation and extreme thirst. Also sometimes i just feel really weak like its hard for me to pick up my arms. I have got horrible stomach problems. If i drink water my stomach feels horrible and full. I have been depressed for 3-4 weeks. Both my parents have diabetes and i am 19 year old right now. Is it most likely that i have diabetes? also what test will i need to get done to make sure if i do or dont have it? I

cooldragon,
Next time you are at the doctor, have him run a fasting blood sugar. That will tell a lot and if it's high then further testing is warranted...If it's low (Below 100, say) you have nothing to worry about.
I've had the frequent thirst and urination, especially at night and diabetes is always foremost in my mind but I've never tested above 90 on a fasting glucose reading. I can barely get over 120 with a big meal.
So, don't worry; it may not be diabetes. If you find out anything ELSE it could be, please let me know:D:D...I;m flummoxed (and I really HATE the dry mouth.)
With me it's probably thiazide diuretics, but it persists even if I stop the stuff.
Oh well, nobody ever died of a dry mouth.

i did the blood check test and it was 94 after last eating 8 hours ago. I have had acid problems for a long time so i dont know if both of them are related.
I probably need antiboitics for the urinary infection since it has not gone for a month.

Cooldragon,
That 94 after a semi-fast is pretty good evidence that you don't have diabetes.

Check the thyroid symptoms on the internet. I had similair problems you described but my glucosis level was normal. Now I am waiting for the thyroid test.
