I did a search on 'spectral' lobotomy, but nothing came up. I suspect the spelling of 'spectral' is incorrect. A lobotomy is serious brain surgery, and is hardly performed at all these days. Do a google search on lobotomy and do a lot of reading. Then I HIGHLY suggest you have your doctor explain EXACTLY what he wants to do, and WHY! And then get a second, and third opinion before undergoing this operation. Ask your doctor a zillion questions until you have enough knowledge to make a decision you are comfortable with.

Good luck

Are you sure it's a lobotomy and not a lobectomy? A pulmonary lobectomy is a form of lung surgery.

What area of your body are you having trouble with? You should not be having any sort of surgery unless you fully understand what is to be done and why and your doctor/surgeon should be giving you ALL the details. If he or she is not find another physician.

Good luck and keep us posted.
