I had an endoscopy done with biopsy a while ago and the results came back "mild" gastritis. Does anyone know what could be causing the gastritis? I heard that H. Pylori can cause it but results came back negative for that. My biggest question is--when I had the endoscopy done I was taking Pariet(aciphex) at the time(and still am)so would that have any affect on the results making the testing for H. Pylori come back negative? I asked my dr. this and he seemed to not know but said he didn't think it would have any affect. :confused:

since they did the scope they should of taken a sample of your stomach tissue. if having it once with blood test it wont show up again. there is a breath test and yes acid meds effect the results.
