Ok, here goes. I got this little bump on the outer labia. I did use an electric trimmer. Well it seems to be going away. I picked at it and bothered it, and it never turned into a scab or a sore. Has anyone else ever had this as a sign of genital herpes? I have no other symptoms. I have been researching this and researching this. I am a hypochondriac though and this is driving me insane. About a year ago I had three similar bumps. I went to Planned parenthood and they told me that they were nothing (folliculitis) This time I did not go to the doctor though. If it were herpes, would my messing with it caused it to turn into a sore or a scab? If it is just an ingrown hair, does anyone know how to fix it?? Thank you in advance!!!

Do you have any reason to believe you might have been exposed to hsv? Boyfriend, partner etc.?

What you describe does sound like an ingorwn hair or a pimple. But if you want to absolutely sure about your status (keep in mind that many people who are hsv+ don´t show any classical symptoms) then you should get a blood test.

As for the bump, sounds like that´s not herpes related though.
