Well here goes....I just got sick like 2 days ago. cold like symptoms runny nose, headache, fatigue, no fever normal cold symtoms. But on top of all that I got a zit type thing under my lower lip and because i just thought it was a pimple i played with it a bit and now its swollen up. and there seems to be puss inside.....:( I dont know if this is a cold sore and if i ve been infected with the herpes virus. I ve never had a cold sore before or anything like this.Im hoping its just an infected pimple but it does hurt so I dont know. Im going to go see my doc tomoro but until then I just thought id get some advise from people who know more about it than i do. Noone in my family has ever had a cold sore and I havent been kissing anyone. In fact i ve been single for almost a year. I havent shared any cups of utensils with anyone either so I dont know where this could have come from. Its driving me nuts with worry. I ve been reading the posts and trying to look up info on cold sores and I just dont know. If it turns out I do have it does this mean I can get in my genital area as well? whats worse is i have a cold and im sneezing so can i pass it on to my family? im really scared and worried please help me. :((((((((((((...ok well im back from the doctor and he said it looks like a herpes sore. I dont really understand how i could have got that but apparantly its really easy to pass on to other people. I have to say i am really pissed off...i mean for the future how am i supposed to know if someone has it or not if they dont tell me? i ve read all the threads of people who had oral given to them and got it. This is going to **** up my sex life forever...im already paranoid as it is and now i feel like i will never be able to just relax and have a good time. Its not fair. I guess this means i can never give oral either? right? can i even kiss people without infecting them? i mean if the virus is always active how do u know when youre not a threat?
