My doctor is not sure yet if what I have is fibromyalgia or lupus. I had 2 positive ANA's (in my blood work) and one negative.

I am a 27 year old mother of 2 who was previously healthy up until this past November.

I started having chronic yeast infections, sinus infections, overwhelming anxiety with panic attacks, and then chronic fevers along with muscle aches/fatigue.

Quite honestly, I thought for sure I was terminal and nobody could find it ( I know it's a bit dramatic but that's how sick I have felt).

I did show a positive for Epstein Barr Virus back in March but I had mono many years ago and they think that's why.

This is just so weird. You think you're resilient and then suddenly, you realize how fragile you really are. It's tough when you realize you can't control your physical body anymore.

*sigh*

I have a severely autistic son that I am trying my best to care for but am finding it increasingly difficult with all my own health issues.

I think I"m just discouraged at this point. I would love to just wake up and feel normal again.

Thanks for listening.

I have both FMS and Lupus. Thank God for the blessing that the Lupus has not effected any vital bodily organ but the joint pain and the FMS muscle pain is nothing to make light of. I also have CFS and various other ailments.

What I am trying to say is that you can make it through this. It won't be a walk in the park but it is not impossible. You need a good support system and your spouse and family must realize that you are ill, period, the end. You will need to take care of yourself and do whatever it takes to improve your quality of life.

Good luck on your journey. I won't sugar coat it and say it's easy but with support and help you will find ways to still stop and smell the roses and enjoy what life has to offer.

Sounds like fibro to me, but you can make it through this. Lean on the people here at healthboards when you need a lift, there are some very giving people here. Hang in there!

I know to some extent how you feel. I have fibromyalgia and my youngest child is autistic. It is very hard as all your focus has to go on caring for your disabled child and finding out about help for them. We have at least three different places to take him every week-plus caring for my other children I find almost no time for my self. When your having a bad day, there is just no time to rest. You will find that when you do have a good day, you will appreciate it much more than other people do!!! Good luck and I hope your spirits will lift soon.
