Ever since my sister came down with melanoma at the age of 35, I have tried to be very careful in the sun.
Some techniques I use:
I wear a wide brim hat whenever I am out in the sun.
I try and find shade when walking. For instance, if there is a shady side of the street I am walking on, I will go on that side.
I use a high SPF sunscreen (all year)
I have invested in sun protective clothing (clothing that is tightly woven to eliminate the sun's harmful rays). I had read that the average t-shirt only has about a spf of 8 believe it or not. {removed}
Anyone else have any suggestions?
