Does anyone know how long after having a baby a woman can have breast reduction surgery? Also, what is the ball-park for recovery time, i.e. when I can lift my child, etc. And if there's anyone out there that has had breast reduction surgery, if you had children after the procedure, were you still able to breast feed? Any advice will be helpful, as this is a much needed procedure for me and I need to have some peace of mind. THANK YOU!!! :-)

I had a breast lift in December... and I had almost no down time at all. I know my situation is different than yours... just wanted you to know that I love my new look and pain for me was very minimal

I had a breast reduction done about two years ago, and It was the best thing I have ever done.People tried to talk me out of it , my husband was very upset that I wanted it. But It really has changed me, and now he likes it as well. It takes about 3 weeks to heal, and you can not lift anything for about 6 weeks afterwards. You also can not breast feed ! So you might want to have it done after you have children. I don't know how big you are, but I was considered a "f" cup and went down to a "D" . I could if I wanted to go bra less, and no one would no. It's amazing how different clothes look, and what you once couldn't even think about wearing, now you can.. It's a great feeling. If you have any more questions feel free to E-mail. "tully1102@aol.com
I hope this helped.

They look perfect. You can barely see any scares. It's so nice not to have back or neck pain, and shopping has been so much fun, things I would never have considered wearing, I do now..You can not breast feed though, so If thats very important to you then wait until after you have children.I was out of work for 3weeks,and I could not lift anything for about 6weeks....If your considering it, and you'd like to talk more , please E-mail me at Tully1102@aol.com..I will be glad to answer any questions you might have..

Can't respond to your questions about lifting or breastfeeding again. But, I can tell you that a relative of mine had it done last summer. She was told that it would be a week or two of downtime, and repeatedly said that although she LOVES her new look, and would do it again in a minute, she wished her PS had been more honest about the downtime. She was out doing things in about 10 days, but was really tired and sore for at least a month, I believe. The tiredness was what lasted the longest. But, again, she would do it again if needed.
PSJunkie...would love to hear about your lift..especially how big the scars are, and if they're noticeable. I've considered it for a long time, but would prefer pointing south rather than have huge scars, lol. Glad you're so happy with it.

my wife had br surgery done. she ended up with a massive staph infection in both breasts and was sick and in pain for 9 months until the breasts healed. be sure that you check your doctor's credentials and make sure you talk with people who have had br surgery done by that doctor.

Hi!
I had a breast reduction way back in 1983. I used the surgeon that invented the breast reduction surgery that allows you to breastfeed your children (I breast fed both of my children, one for 6 months, the other for 10 months!)I will tell you that it was the very best thing I have ever done for myself. I gained confidence with my body that I never knew before. I love the way I look (have had to have them lifted again, after the babies had their way with them!). I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and I will be happy to tell you all about my surgery, my surgeon, my recoveries, etc. Please feel free to e-mail me at Hurricane77559@aol.com. This surgery, by the way, has the best results for patients. You will be amazed.

My friend had breast reduction surgery a couple years after giving birth. Her surgeon in New York was a Dr. Tabbal. Her recovery was uneventful, and she described her results as "perfect."
