Hey everyone,

I'm a 22 y/o male. About six months ago, I had my one and only sexual encounter with my girlfriend. We then broke up. We had unprotected sex, but neither of us...ummm..."finished," so to speak. She had been with one other guy before me, and she said they used protection. Since, I have heard rumors that she sleeps around a lot and is dirty. She told me before we had sex that she was clean, but I just have trouble believing her because I've heard she's also a liar. I am completely paranoid that I have HIV, even though I never got any of the symptoms of acute HIV disease. Am I overreacting?

Its been 6 months and the best advice I can give you is to go get tested .
Any results will certainly be conclusive at 6 months .
I know you must be very worried and the best advice right now is to get tested so you can put it out of you're mind and move on .
Good luck to you and I hope you're results are ( NEGATIVE )
THINK NEGATIVE ..........
In good health ...............

It's a good idea to get tested.
However, rumours do not replace an HIV test. Do not let what other people say alter the way your feel about what happened. I can tell you as a young female, if you're pretty, smart etc etc, and you're dealing with a ton of jealous girls, they will say anything to bring you down, and most choice words have something to do w/ a girls "sexual history".
I wish you the best of luck
Keep us posted
