My daughter went swimming yesterday and has water in her ear that won't come out. She's tried tilting her head back and forth, hopping up and down while her head is tilted, moving her jaw up and down, and tugging on her ear lobe. Still won't come out! Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

A few drops of rubbing alcohol in the ear always worked for me. Drip it in then tilt her head and it should all come out ! :)

Hi There, There is an over the counter product called Star-Otic that you can put into the ear after bathing, swimming, or showering. It is alcohol free and it works great. My oldest daughter was getting swimmers ear alot, until the last visit to the doctors when he gave us samples of this product. No swimmers ear since.

Good Luck, GloryGurl

Thank you! I knew there were otc drops but didn't feel like running out. The alcohol worked like a charm!

4 parts white vinegar and two parts alcohol. I had a Doc tell me to do this years ago when my kids were always in the water and getting water in their ears.
I still use that now for myself when I go into anyones pool. If you can get a small bottle with a dropper it helps to keep it and apply drops.
