I must have weird skin or something, but I haven't been able to find a foundation that works for me. I've had makeup inclined friends come with me as well as asked the cosmotologists at the stores to help me chose one. The thing is, when I put it on it looks great. I can blend it in and I don't have any of those awful lines under my chin etc. However, as the day goes by, I swear the makeup like changes color or something, because suddenly my face is pink and you can see a very definate line where it stops.
Somedays this doesn't happen. I'm wondering if it's caused by the weather or if I'm working out or something. Either way, I'd like a foundation that doesn't turn pink on me! Right now I'm using Outlast by CoverGirl which was working great for me until this weekend I noticed the pink thing going on again. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with me?

Maybe it's not the foundation that's wrong, but the color. You obviously need a yellow base and not a pink. Ivory, nude, and those types of natural colors are not for you. Even the Sand colors are often not quite right although they can sometimes appear to be. You need warm beiges (even if you are very fair skinned).
Revlon's New Complexion one step makeup in medium beige is a good one, or you could try the Rimmell line which carries more yellow tones. Cover girl I always found to be on the pink side.

I had a problem with finding the right foundation...I could never find the right color and something that was fast and easy to blend and didn't make lines under my chin...then I tried Dream Matte Mouuse and it worx GREAT, my face now looks flawless...but sometimes I have to reapply it in which i dont like but otherwise I'm very satisfied....plus it hides bags under the eyes and dark circles.....and scars....so try it...if u want

Maybe the problem could be the sponge you use to apply?
I swear by a Max Factor sponge, it is beige, very porous, oval and a little smaller than your palm. (MF also has a TINY one- not that one- the bigger one.) Anyway I've found that it makes flawless, even application a snap. Good luck!

Yeah I'd have to agree to stay away from Cover Girl foundations - very pink and fake looking, and they aren't good for acne prone skin. Actually, I would recommend staying away from all Cover Girl skin products; they use ingredients that just are not healthy for the skin, period.
I have used Clinique Foundation and it works well, very natural and not cakey. Colors are good. Right now I am using Almay Clear Complexion Foundation (it has salicylic acid in it for acne) and it looks very, very natural and the color has more of a yellow undertone which is good because it doesn't turn pink.

Thanks a lot guys. That helps a ton, I've always only ever used CG because a friend recommended it to me. I didn't know any better! I'll have to try some of the stuff you guys recommended.
blondie79, I use triangular sponges made by CG as well.

Cutiepie,
I was just reading these posts on foundation and noticed that you named Dream Matte Mouuse. Where do you purchase that? I have been wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear for years, but I recently had a hysterectomy and now my skin and hair are changing (it seems for the worse). Anyway, I have tried tons of new foundations, and don't like any of them. I have freckles too, and in the summer time, it seems my foundation just seeps into my skin.
Thanks for any info!
