Hi, I just found this board and started reading the posts. I am a homeschooling mom to 6 children. My 20yr old is in 3rd year of college, 18yr old is going to college in September I homeschooled them through high school. I am homeschooling a 16 and 14yr old and I have two 3yr olds (non related adopted from Guatemala). My 3yr old daughter was diagnosed with autism 10/04, she is receiving 6 hours a day ABA therapy in-home. We started in January and the difference is like night and day. She is now fully potty trained (it took 6 weeks) and is requesting, starting to play with her brother, naming items, singing songs, tons of words etc. We are so happy with the progress. She will be receiving intensive in-home therapy probably for the next year and a half. We have high hopes. Right now we are having issues with our insurance company refusing to pay anything toward her therapy but are pursuing it further. Anyone out there have problems/successes with their insurance companies? Would love to here.
