Hello! I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced mucous in their rectum after alot of cramping and diarrhea? I had a bad IBS bout yesterday with severe cramping, and it felt like my rectum was turning inside out while I was on the toilet!! Has anyone ever felt that way too??

Anyways, I guess you can say, that I passed gas a couple of times and thought I "went" in my pants (after going diarreah) only to see that I had a small glob of mucous in my underwear. This happened twice yesterday, and now today, I am still afraid to pass gas!!! LOL!!! Please help!! Charlotte

Hi,
I have had a terrible time the last couple days too... such bad D! and most of it seems to be mucous...so gross!
When i have bad D i don't pass the gas (if i can ) till i am on the toilet...for the same reason as you...can't always tell what is going to come out!
Such a gross thing this IBS is...sure wish there was somthing we could do to get rid of it..

hugs,

You, too, feel like your rectum is turning inside out in those episodes?? It's weird, I thought I was the only one w/ that symptom. When I first started having it, I thought I was straining so much I tore something. But it just feels like it's being turned inside out.. just so you know you're not the only one that has that happen...

Whew...I don't feel so alone with the rectum pressure/pain! Thank you for your input on that! Makes me feel like I am not the only one! :)

Twiggy-thank you also for your input! IBS is definately no fun. :( Charlotte
