Chris, do you mean that you are thinking thoughts to justify your fear, like my mind is doing?? I hate this part of it most of all. I just try and ignore the stupid thoughts, and not give them any power. But sometimes the thought is sooo big and soo scary that I cannot let go of it. I hate to hear that you are suffering like me, I hope you get to feeling better...

Chris,
I see you're banned so you will probably not be able to respond anymore. Anyway I wanted to tell you that I can relate to what you describe. Even though your post is very short, I THINK I know what you mean. I get that sometimes, especially when I am under stress. And sometimes especially when things are working out wonderfully, like when a dream comes true or something - I remember my mind "creating" a problem just then, which would then make the whole thing very stressful.
I think this is related to my OCD.
Since I have been on medication I have been much much better, the OCD has been reduced to just a tiny once in a while thing. I still tend to create problems when I am stressed, but usually that goes away again really fast.
There are things you can do to help yourself during those situations too. Praying helps me, gives me comfort. Also, try not to do what the obsessive thoughts tell you, because that only makes them stronger. Try to "let go" of the problems...
And most of all, don't be afraid that it will always be like that. I have experienced that things can change dramatically, because things just change in life!

Kathrin
