My only exposure would have been from a tattoo. I know the odds are really low but I have just been having all kinds of problems with my health lately and now I'm just freaked out about this and Hep c.
What do you guys think?

If they used a clean needle you're fine. Have you recently been diagnosed with Hep? Why are you so worried? Did they not use a clean needle?

Certainly, no matter how anxious you are and how we try to reassure you, the only real way to know is to get tested. I agree, however, with Sarah, if the tatoo artist was reputable and was properly licensed, then I would think you would be safe. chris

Thanks for the replies. He is licensed and been in business for 12 years. I saw them use new needles but I do tend to have a little ocd about things. I'm grasping at straws I suppose because all this wierd stuff just popped up out of the blue.
The only reason I'm now concerned is because when I did a search both hiv and hep came up with itching problems. Now my mind seems to be getting the better of me. I saw the new needles but then I've got all these funky things going on with my health.
I know the only way I will get passed this is to test but it's really expensive to get a test. I won't go to my dr because I don't want it in my records and they make you wait weeks for results. I can pay $99 for hiv test and have results the next day.
Thanks again!

I have a few tattoo artist friends and the chances are very low.
If you get a test, remember you have to wait at least 3 months after exposure. Check out my thread just above yours. You can get free anonymous HIV testing as well in clinics.
Good luck.
