DGO1223 06-08-2005, 10:20 AM 3 hours minimum. I hope you aren't referring to the first time! That's asking for one nasty, possibly dangerous, blistering sunburn! :nono: star05 06-08-2005, 01:37 PM i mean just the first time only Cassie4u22 06-08-2005, 02:24 PM Yikes well I would have to say it completely depends on the person! I have a naturally medium light skin tone, and the first time I layed out this summer (for about two hours) I had a horrendous burn on my chest, shoulders, and thighs. I would say test the waters with laying out for about 45 min the first day.. then if you are okay with that, up it to an hour and 15 min the next day, and continue like that until you can stay out for a good while without burning. It's best to take it slow then jump headfirst into it and end up with a nasty burn - then you'll have to stay out of the sun for even longer! EricaNicole27 06-08-2005, 03:47 PM I started with 30 on each side then the next time I did an 45 on each side then the third I did an hour on each side..baby steps.. DGO1223 06-08-2005, 04:38 PM i mean just the first time only That STILL is way too much for the first time (or any time for that matter!) If you are anywhere near being fair skinned, I would not do more than 20 minutes the first time each side. Although, tanning is bad for your skin anyway, and I wouldn't recommend doing it at all, but if you must, start slow. |
