i have these spots on my feet. only one on my right foot, and about 4 or 5 on my left foot.
they are red when i get out of the shower and then dull down to just a bit darker than the color of my foot itself. they are a bigger than an eraser but smaler than a coin. they arent very visible. they dont really look like bruises or anything. they dont hurt or itch, and they are not elevated. and im not sure how long i have had these. i have been having health problems, so maybe its related to that, i dunno. i have had normal blood tests. so thats good.
im just wondering if anyone knew anything about this. or had these.
thanks

I have had dark spots on my back and stomach for at least 10 years. Some of them have never changed, and some of them seem to change shape and position over time. I have not had these looked at by a doctor because they don't bother me physically. One of my spots is the size of a tennis ball, but not perfectly round. I'm new to this whole message board thing, so I have been searching for people like you with similar problems. Hopefully we can find someone who knows what we are talking about. If you decide to see a dermatologist, I would be greatful if you post your findings.

Are you guys talking about a skin disorder type spot? Like a patch of something ON TOP of the skin? Or does it look like mottling which is UNDERNEATH the skin?
Does this happen only with the change in temperature? Check if the "spots" are there before AND after you come out of the shower. Can you see them if you are standing in a cold bathroom? If this sounds familiar then don't worry, it is harmless. I can't remember the name for it (I have this too) and it has to do with being cold. It looks like mottling.
