Hello-
Curious if anyone out there has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and what your syptoms might have been. I don't mean a ruptured aneurysm/stroke...just a ballooning in the vein/artery. I have an MRA scheduled for Friday b/c my dr said this could be a possibility. She said it's possible that it was so small it wasn't picked up on the MRI, but is still causing syptoms: seeing blue flashes (circles), floaters, zoning out, short-term memory issues, word-finding issues, facial twitches....
Thanks

Hey there,
I haven't been to this site in a while and just happened to stop at yours-- my dad had two brain aneurysms and two brain surgeries so I was curious if you found out what you have. If it is an aneruysm I can atleast tell you a little about my dad if you were interested and yes he is doing good!!!!

I had an unruptured aneurysm diagnosed last year and had it clipped a year ago today! I had requested an MRI of my head due to increased headaches and dizziness. I was told that neither were related to the aneurysm and I still have both and they vary in severity.
Most folks have no symptoms unless the aneurysm is pressing against a nerve. But I truly believe (and some might mock me for this) that my body was trying to tell me something with those headaches and dizziness. I wish you the best.

My mother and grandmother both had aneurysm's and I can never remember a time my mother didn't have a headache.....I do believe her headache's were related to the aneurysm.

i have headaches all of the time and all mine is is my sinuses and stress. i hope that you are ok though. my mom had an anuyrusem and she is ok. but the docs told me that i would have a 99.99% chance of not ever having a brain anyrusem. but i hope that you are ok. also sinuses and stress can make you feel off balance and dizzy all of the time too. so just try to breathe and hopefully you will not have this problem.

Hi.
I ended up having a MR-A and a CT-A and nothing was found. Thank goodness! I do, however, continue to have the same plagueing symptoms! :(
mayansun...could you tell me something about the clipping you had? I was diagnosed last month with a brain aneursym and my doctor has suggested clipping. I would like to know what to expect as far as the surgery and recovery. Thanks.

Clipping seems to be a more permanent solution but everything I review says there are better results with coiling. Having said that I will be having coiling done for the 3rd time soon. Clipping is looking good to me but I'm trusting the giant heads with the calls. This time around they are thinking coils/stents and balloons if req'd... I admit to fast growing tired of my problem and am long overdue for a "all done". Not sure you ever get this with coiling. They monitor coiling closer than clipping it seems.
