 Hi all, I think my question got lost in my other post, because I asked two questions. :nono:

Can you please tell me if phobias are part of OCD, or are they a separate entity, perhaps listed under another illness? Thanks a lot.

Good question. The one I know is fear or hatred of spiders. That I know is not under OCD. That is the most comen phobia in the world. Anything else I don't know. What are your Phobias?

I mainly want to know if phobias are part of OCD. I know that on the tv show MONK, he has OCD, but also has his phobias.

My phobias are listed under the thread title "What are your phobias? Is this OCD?"
I have too many. First and foremost is claustrophobia. And in no certain order, spiders. I used to just sit and kind of look at them sideways. I was paralyzed, terrified, heart racing, etc.. Also, fear of going over bridges, horrible fear of the actual act of vomiting. Not afraid of vomit. Just afraid of vomiting. Fear that I can't breathe. Fear of flying, thanks to 9/11 and claustrophobia. Terrible fear of dirt and germs. I am a handwasher. Fear of being buried alive, although I think that is not uncommon. That's all I can remember right now.
