Hi All,
I'm new on this board, and I really thank you all for your valuable information abt HBP.
Recently I've been feeling dizzy. When I measure the BP it's around 130/78 (now at 2:30 pm sitting in front of the computer). The strange thing is every afternoon starting from 5:00 I feel terrible. When I walk around in market I feel real bad. Sometimes even I walk in kitchen I feel dizzy. If I sit for a while and measure BP it's around 110/75. This feeling will gradually go away after 8:00. Do I need to be put on meds?
Thank you,
Brad.

I would see your doctor but high blood pressure is defined as consistent readings of 140/90 or higher. 130/78 is not high and 110/75 is an excellent reading.

Uff-Da!

I agree; see your doctor about your symptoms. The cause must be something other than your blood pressure, as the pressures you have stated are normal or prehypertensive. It usually takes quite high readings even for someone who is hypertensive before it is felt. Many people could have a reading of 180/100 and still not feel it.

Thanks for all your information. I'll go to see a doctor. Many times when I feel dizzy my BP is above 120/80, however when the BP goes down to 110/75 I still feel uncomfortable. I doubt it is my kidney problem because I always have swollen fingers, but I did kidney function test several times before and they all came back normal. I found out I'm really sensitive to BP change, whenever my BP goes beyond 120/80 then I can feel it.
