View Full Version : Caring for an infant after breast reduction

Hello...

I am seriously considering having a breast reduction. It would be a medically necessary procedure and not cosmetic.

The thing is, I have a 3 month old infant son. I don't breastfeed, so I'm not bothered about that, but is there anyone out there that has had a breast reduction while caring for a baby? If so, what precautions should I look at and what sort of a time frame should I expect before I can look after my baby again? I really need this reduction, but I don't want my son to suffer because Mommy has nasty back, shoulder, and neck pain and would be laid up for a while.

Thanks in advance for any advice and insights!
