Lately the lovely (and apparently talented) Gee Gee has brought us a large number of threads regarding the good times and other aspects of our lives. These threads have been witty and uplifting. I found them to be very encouraging for our community in a non illness related theme. I've learned some amazing things about my friends and mentors here who are full of life in addition to psycopharmaceuticals! Gee Gee - and all,
Your eloquence has inspired me with questions I'm just aching to ask. You will soon witness a string of threads based on topics that have randomly come up during long threads. Think of them as informal survey questions that we may all be able to benefit from when we see similarities among us and how we cope.
So MANY, MANY, MANY APOLOGIES in advance! I do not mean to assault everyone with a battery of questions, so answer at will and ignore me if I bore you.

I agree one hundred percent, Gee Gee is a very sweet, (sometimes silly) lady ~ the board wouldn't be the same without her. And by the way, I was thinking about starting a thread about how great Reesie is for putting that newbie thread up for everyone who comes here and askes the same question, (If I only had a nickel....)

Oh, and thanks for mentioning me, Z baby, I'm not sure why, I hardly even come here anymore like I used to, I don't think I even contribute that much, but I do what I can considering everything else I have going on, and I do appreciate the acknowlegement ~ And you can ask me anything, I'm happy to answer any questions you have...Don't apologize, we're here to learn from each other, and gain support and insight into ourselves and lives.
Gee Gee, You are so funny, I love your last post ~ I don't know if you read the post I put on the board in response to your thread about my favorite vacation, and my meeting of a real movie star, I can't seem to find it now, :confused: but I did answer, and I appreciated the diversion. I hope you're sleeping ok, and your DH is doing better, and your summer is going along well.
Reesie, I haven't chatted with you much lately, but I hope you're doing ok, too. I know you have struggled some with your job, and concentration level and all. I know you're gonna do fine, you have that fiesty, funny, dry sense of humor, and 'life sucks sometimes, but it's ok' kinda attitude ~ you rock. ;)

I'm actually doing pretty well, I'm going out of town soon, so you guys won't see me so much, but I promise I will be back and let you know what's up.

Dave: I am so proud of you! You came here as a skeptic and look where you are now? Accepting in your dx and active in your treatment! Plus a positive lithium responder of all things!! Looks like your quest for normalcy will be shorter than some of ours. ;)

Heather: Sometimes praises need to be sung and that is just that. I'm glad you liked the primer, last week a newbie came on with the same old question (but with even worse grammar) and I just snapped. I knew no one was going to reply for a few days then they would only tell them to search the web so I figured if they weren't keen to search the web first place and just come here to ask we might as well give them something permanent and be done. On a personal note I'm still hanging in there, my concetration has gotten a little better but my work has gotten confusing so I'm not much better there. I had a great past weekend with some old friends at a fan convention (anime) and my month long depression lifted a bit. But my weight and fatigue have still gone up! I'm too tired for my shirt! I was in line at the gate at the airport recently and I laid down for a quick nap before we boarded! Everyone was staring :D But I'll endure because apparently I'm fiesty! (i. e. pig-headed) My personal anthem has always been "It ain't right and it ain't wrong, it just is"
And because I have to say it again: Woo Hoo go GEE GEE!

About that last post..., I did get to read it, just before it disappeared...,
I guess I gave out too much information, talking about our Cruise,
but I really don't know, for sure. One day it was just Poof !! And, it was gone.
I loved your post ! It's not everyday that you meet a movie star !

They just called from the Sleep Clinic ! I AM GOOD TO GO ! I do not have
sleep apnea ! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ! Maybe now, my folks will leave me
alone and not think I might die in my sleep ! You Know ?
Now, if my GH would be able to sleep with me......, Oh well......,
Anyway, it's not a good thing, and whatever it is, I will have to live with !
Sorry to say that my DH is, in my opinion, is not doing well. I think I told you
that he has started back smoking..., well he is chain smoking again !!!!
He doesn't smoke in the house, so he is spending a lot of time on the Patio !
He is such a smart person, and the Eye Doc's have plainly said that smoking
will speed up the loss of vision in his eyeS. He's already seen the difference...,
a while back.
The thing about it is there is nothing I can really do, except try to prepare
myself for what might come and I am not being negative, it's just the
way this all works.
I am totally glad we can't see into the future, agree ?
We don't have any special plans for the summer...., it's just now feeling like
summer. Hopefully, I can spend some time with my Grands., who are loads
of fun !
Girl, I guess you see on the Weather Channel......., the Tropical Storm---
Hurricane Arlene is headed straight for us. What a mess. I really do dread it !
And, I am getting a little nervy..., Ya know ?
I guess it's time for another nap ! :yawn:
