That is something that an FD doctor would need to answer. It also depends on whether you have MAS. Check out the NIH and see if they have done any research on this - they might have some papers you can read.

Hello! Haven't heard from you in awhile. I hope that means that everything is great!!!!
I wanted to let you know that I found out that you can not take HGH with FD.
So, I guess I will look and feel about 80 by the time I am 40.lol
I am still on my mission to prove that my pituitary tumor is related to the FD.
I hope you are well!!!

Anne,
Endocrine issues do relate to FD - to have MAS version; you will have 3 things: FD of the bones, endocrine problems (thyroid/pituitary), and a cafe au lait birthmark. Some of the other prominent symptoms include short stature and early menses. Why are you taking the HGH? The NIH did a study regarding this to see if it would help MAS patients grow in height. One of the other studies was the use of pamindronate drugs to slow the FD growth.
As for me - I am doing really well (usually do during the summer months - the colder months hurt more). Some female issues, but that's it.
Hope all is well with you!!!
Melinda
