Hi I am new here and I have a question. I am slightly anemic hemoglobin 11.5 (doctor said 11.7 normal). I plan to have the upper and lower scopes done but what if they come back normal? I am 43 and have normal periods.


I have seen posts here from people who have said that they are slighty anemic and have had the GI test and they came back normal. Does your body just change sometimes?

Hi, I am one of those people. My hemoglobin was down to 8.8. Had all the tests, Upper GI, Colonoscopy, endoscopy - everything okay except some gastritis. Iron pills did nothing to help so I finally had an InFed iron transfusion - it helped tremendously and my counts have remained good since Feb. They still don't know why they were so low.
