Hello, my name is Angie. I am 28 and a mom of 4 girls ages 10, 4 and my twins are 20 months. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I had a hip replacement on February 8 of this year. Things are going pretty well in my hip, however the rest of my body is really not doing great but that is from my RA.

I am getting tired of doing physio so often. 3 times a week for almost 3 hours each time. I have skipped out on it the past couple weeks. I know...that is bad :nono: , I should be going but I just hate it.

I need to get my second hip done soon, but I am hoping to make it to the end of the year at least.

Anyway, Mrs.Linda sent me this link and I am glad to be here and hope to get to know you all. :bouncing:

Angie, welcome to our board. We are all here to help and support. Four girls, how great for you. I have one daughter and two grandaughters and wish there were more!! Sorry to hear that you are having to deal with arthritis at such a young age. Most people your age take their health for granted and never think anything bad will happen to them. It sounds like you have a great attitude that will serve you well in life. Why does your Dr recommend such intensive physio at this point in time? It does seem a bit extensive and it's not like you have all the time and energy in the world with four kids!! I would think that all the extra therapy would be exhausting. Maybe you could still go, but with a less demanding schedule and get the benefits from it. Be sure to keep posting..balleteach

Angie!! Hi!! :D It's so good to see you. Welcome to another great board.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with the RA. But my friend...you need your PT. Talk to your doctor about maybe streamling your schedule some. But please don't stop going. It's so important.

Jump over to the "6 Month after hip replacement" thread. That's where you'll find me most of the time. The people are the best. Balleteach is our "mentor". She's a lovely person who underwent THR 10 years ago. She keeps us "focused" and helps us with paitence which has become our "mantra". Also on that thread are all sorts of posts with all sorts of questions and answers. I've learned soooo much from this board; things the dr. never even mentioned.

Angie I'm soooo glad you joined us. Please post often and any questions just ask away!!!

Hugs to you.....

momof4girls777 - Hi Angie!! You have a couple of messages on the "6 month after hip replacement surgery" thread. I came across them this morning. They're located on the page 55 I think of the thread. One buddy has RA also and offered some advice. The other is a follow up I believe. Try and jump over there later and check 'em out.

How are you feeling? I'm not bad. My other hip is bothering me a little but I can live with this.

Talk to you soon....
