I have been having a new feeling that I have not experienced. I swear the minute you get use to something it goes away only to either reappear or have another strange thing take its place.

It started a few days ago as a band around my abdomen that burned like crazy. I looked expecting it to be red and welted but nothing! Now it is not only around my ribs but the inside and top of my thighs. It feels like I am on fire or have burned the heck out of myself!

Also how do you know if it is another attack?...They say new symptom but what if it is a new feeling accompanying another old one? I am also having shooting pains down my arms like I hit my funny bone, this is how it started the very first time I had any symptoms - other than optic neuritis.

EStevens...burning is a common symptom with MS.You'll want to tell your Neuro what's going on to help him track what's happening and give you the best treatment possible. One thing'sfor sure, there's never a dull moment with MS. Hope you find relief soon. Check back in often....don't go through this alone, okay?

Yes, the burning sensation is something I just started not too long ago. When it started I would look down expecting to be hot, burned or something and my skin would feel cool. I also have strange prickly feelings all over my body (kind of like when your arm goes to sleep). So, I just figured it was another one of the many symptoms of MS. These things are not too bothersome, but I hate the dizzy feeling!

Oh, Yes Burning Like You Are On Fire Is A Very Common symtom Of Mine! It Started As Just One Small Oval Spot On My Arm That Went Away Within The Day.I Didn't Think Anything About It. Then, After A Stressful Day At Working A 12 Hour Shift At Work It Really Kicked In!

Kicked Me Out Before I Was Done. Then I Burned From The Waist Down, Thought I Trully Was On Fire.

Definatly Talk To Your Neuro, Ther Are Drugs To Help. I Take Neurontin Three Times Every Day. Unfortunatly I Have Had To Bump Up The Dose To 600mg Three Times A Day.

Please Call Neuro With Any New Problem Even If You Think It's Big Or Small, He Or She Will Be Able To Direct You In The Right Direction.

Hope You Feel Better Soon, I Know The Burning Can Get Pretty Bad! Iwish You Good Luck!

Suezee,

I am on Nuerontin now twice a day. I was only taking in once a day. Have you experienced any side effects? I feel dizzy and my eyesight is stressing me out. It is so hard to discribe what my eyesight is doing, Lots of lights and black floaty things all translucent.

Dixie,

I've Always Had Trouble With My Eyesight. Thats How I Was Diagnosed, It Started With A Bout Of Optic Neuritis.

I Sure Would Discuss Your Recent Changes With Your Sight, Maybe You Just Need Your Meds Adjusted. You Just Never Know With M.s. It Always Keeps You Guessing!

They call me "fire ant" at work. Burning is a big part of my life. It feels like a bad sunburn only theres no color!
Mine travels around, mostly face, head, shoulders, legs. Have not been dx yet. Also get lots of aches and pains all over. Everyday it is something different in a different place. Never a dull moment  .......Deb
