Around the ribcage area i have a tiny dot (pinprick size) and its bright red. it has been there for atleast a year or two that i can remember. i dont know what it is? could it be a mole or something more serious??

If it is tiny and flat, it is a superficial hemangioma. If it is the slightest bit raised, it is called a cherry angioma. Otherwise known as blood moles. They are harmless but you should always keep an eye on them, just in case. :)
