Hi, I posted here long ago before and it was about shortness of breath but now im having something very different and I cant find anything about it on the net so can anyone help me out? im 17/male and I weight about 113.
Ill try my best to explain whats happening because I honestly dont know how to describe this. It happened when I was in bed trying to fall asleep, I was very tired thats what I can remember. I slept for about 10 minutes then I woke up I had a very different kind of shortness of breath, my chest felt very weird, and when I breathed in it felt like I ihaled way too fast because normaly it takes you a while to fully breathe in when you do it, but when I try it now it goes really quickly and it feels like its full but then again it doesnt (very confusing I know but this is how I can explain it.) I also have tightness right below my chest on my sides, it feels like my muscles though not exactly my chest. Also something very important that I noticed was my throat and mouth area. My throat felt tight and so did the inside of my mouth, my tongue felt like it wasnt relaxed but it felt like when you're chocked and your tongue kind of backs up into your mouth, I also felt that my mouth has gotten really dry all of the sudden and of course I felt dizziness. It really scares me though because when I got it,it was so difficult to breathe since my lungs felt like they got all the air but that they havent really opened up completely eventhough I feel like it has...

hopefuly somebody has an answer for this...

PS: its not anxiety, I know how I feel when I get it but this is different.
i also noticed having speech problems, like when I try to talk I could barely understand myself and it was sort of difficult.

If you did not have lung/breathing problem before, and have a sudden onset difficulty breathing chest pain,
it is most likely a Pneumothorax, aka collapsed lung.
get chest x-ray ASAP! if it is pneumo, you need emergency treatment right away.
pneumothorax can occur without any warning to a healthy young person.

most common to 20-30 year old tall thin male.
