I went into my doctor back in January. I am very tired all the time and so i wanted to know if there was a cause for this. Many blood tests were done, i can't even remember all of them. I came back with a possative ANA test, so I was sent to another doc. to test for Lupus,(don't have those results yet) but my doc. gave me the results of the rest of my tests. He didn't seem too conserned as he was reading me the results. He said that my red blood cells were a little on the small side and i didn't ask him at the time what that could mean. I figured if it was something bad he would tell me, but now i am wondering why he would even mention it at all unless it was unusual. I have also been having really REALLY small like Red pen sized dots pop up here and there on my stomach and chest. Not sure if that is anything either. Please, if anyone can help me understand what this could mean let me know. Thank you.

Hi Aspen,
Small red blood cells are called Microcytes. Microcytes are frequently seen with iron deficiency anemia.
Hope that helps a little!
