I had colon cancer at a young age and was put into a very early menopause. My periods stopped abruptly, right after my treatment. My colon cancer was caught early, but now I feel so overwhelmed by everything. I can never have children. I have no libido. My vagina is dried out. I take HRT and fosomax, because my doctor is so concerned about my bone health, since I had a bad T-score. So much has happened at once. My mom just died of cancer too. Now, my doctor is wondering if I should have a hysterectomy, since pelvic radiation increases your risk of uterine cancer. I see my doctors regularly, but, I put on a stoical face, when really, I want to scream and cry. Has anyone out there been put into menopause because of radiation? How are you doing? Anything helping you to feel better? Thanks.
