I've been exercising consistantly for about two months. However, about two weeks ago. I got this sharp pain on my left side lower back. It hurt that I could barely walk or move without getting a sharp jolt. After a few aspirins laying on the bed with a pillow underneathe my back it went away. The next day I was sore but it didn't hurt. Now two days the pain is back. Last night was the worse I could barely move without this sharp pain in my lower back. I didn't get to sleep until almost 3 am. It has happened a few times before but few in far between. I can't remember the last time it as happened like 5 or so years ago. I am wondering if anyone know that this could be? Do you think I may have pulled a muscle in my lower back? Thanks--

It's really hard to say what it could be but I would try not doing anything strenous for a while and let up on the exercise for a short time try just walking until you get better or find out what the cause of the pain is. Also try using ice on your back maybe it is inflamation and the ice will help to get the swelling down.
By the way when the pain let up did you go back to exercising like you had been? Because a couple of days wouldn't have been enough to really heal it sounds like you had began to but may have become active again to soon.
Best of luck and hopefully this is just a pulled muscle that will settle down with the right care.

Yes, I will admit that I did continue aerobics the next day. Now, I'm taking it easy super easy because I'm scared I may have pulled something. Thanks for the advice. I'll try the ice method.
