ok i will have my immediates in for one week as of tomorrow. My face is still swollen and i look swollen on my upper lip. The question I have is can I safely use Benzodent or oragel now? I am having quite a bit of pain when i put them back in after cleaning. I know this is normal and very common,I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to do. thanks in advance!

Hello, Kerri, you can use either. The Benzodent is best because it not only numbs but helps with the healing too. It is real good stuff!

Thanks, cristie,

Did you read my other post? I asked you if you could do it again would you and are the lowers more or less painful than the uppers???? I am looking at getting the lowers done in July but i want this junk to go away first! thanks, kerri

Hey Kerri, I would do it again in a heartbeat!!! I had such bad teeth. This is the best thing I have ever done. The dentures are not perfect and are not nearly as good as real teeth, but it sure beats all the trouble and pain that I went through with my real teeth. The lowers have gave me more problems than the uppers. There is not any suction like the uppers and they don't fit nearly as well. When I first got this done, I had alot of rubbing and almost all of it was from the lowers. But if I keep them glued in, they are fine.

How is your pain doing? Are you still real sore where the stitches are?

Cristie,

I have to go back to the dentist today at 330---they think I might need an adjustment. When I take them out to clean them, it is just really hard and very painful to get them back in. Other than that they are ok......I am going to ask them about that benzonate or whatever when i go because this is ridiculous. I dread having to take them out at all because i know it will be so painful when i put them back in. Thanks for all of your help! YOu have been a lifesaver to me! The lowers dont hurt to put in right because there is no suction?

I went to the dentist today with stabbing pain and swelling where the stitches were placed (first molar).....Well come to find out all of my discomfort was from the stitch becoming hard and stabbing me when I was putting the denture back in! As soon as he removed it I am a new woman! YEAH!!! I have some sore spots, but I am now using orabase to help with those.....I hope this helps someone if they have the same problem...Thanks cristie for all of your responses and help! I get the bottoms done on July11
