View Full Version : Impacted Wisdom Teeth, erupt on their own even late?

I've had 3 wisdom teeth extracted already one by one. The first upper two were erupted. The third one was impacted and now im on my 4th one which is impacted as well. Its growing at a 45 degree angle and i can see the top of the tooth with a thin surface of gum layer on top.

My Question is, I personally know people whose wisdom teeth came in later than the industry quota of late teens to early 20's. Can some people out there give me hope and share their experiences of teeth erupting late. Im so sick and tired of worrying about my wisdom teeth and im also scared to death of going through another impacted wisdom teeth removal procedure. It would be so much easier to remove this last tooth of my mine if it was erupted. Also is there anything I can do to encourage them to grow out ex. nutrition, exercises, massages etc. This isnt a crazy idea i just have hope.

Thank You,
Mike :)

i don't think you can do anything to stop them growing in wrong, or to help them growing through the gums at all. last week i had all 4 wisdom teeth removed under general anesthesic (i was asleep) i only had one erupted and the other three were impacted... i knew they'd all cause trouble so i had all of them removed. the only thing i resent is not being able to eat properly.... i'm too scared to eat on the molar sides of my mouth...so it takes forever to eat using my front teeth.

other than that everything went fine, i went to sleep woke up and left the hospital about 5pm...rested for a few days i take pain killers once a day.

i am a bit concerned though, my upper wisdom tooth feels like something is stuck in there and i'm not sure whether to investigate to see if its food or leave it incase i disrupt it in case its only my bloodclot(when i look using a mirror...the area looks brownish).
i have an appointment with my dentist follow up in 5 days so he can remove the stiches...should i just wait? also i'm not sure whether i can start rinsing my mouth properly when i brush my teeth....i'm too scared i'll dislodge something when i rinse the toothpaste away.

any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
